Nosework 2 – Containers and Interiors

April 16 and 23,  Time: 6 – 7:15 p.m.  Fee: $7.50 per handler/dog

Requirements and parameters: Must be proficient in birch and anise. One to three hides per element/search, on leash, food and/or toy distractors, and search time limits of up to five minutes. Two indoor searches will be offered each night. One night will focus on various containers, such as paint cans, egg cartons, plastic bowls, boxes, etc., and the other night interior searches of different-sized rooms. Interior searches will be no more than 4 feet, and odor will be accessible to the dog, but the source may not. A limit of 4 students.

To register, contact Kathleen Stevens . Preference will be given to CCTC members and single-dog handlers per course to ensure greater opportunity among members. This is not an introductory class for untrained dogs. Payment will be collected the first night of class.
