Novice is just the beginning, you can go on to Open!
Even if you are still working novice, start with the open exercises, it will keep your dog’s (and your) interest.
So you think you can’t get your dog to retrieve, come see if you can! Don’t just train positively, think positively.
How about those jumps? Many of you are already jumping, you can do it.
Do you know how to get a stand/down/sit? Might be hard for a cat, but with a bit of work you can get your dog doing it.

Heeling or healing?

When you sign up, if you do not yet have a dumbbell for your dog, see the link below to get the right size for your dog.  Plastic dumbbells are hardier but bounce more when thrown. If you get a wooden dumbbell, the ends should be painted white for better visibility, dogs can put teeth marks in them, they can break into pieces, but they don’t bounce as much. Some dogs prefer one type vs the other.
